Welcome!
As you probably realize, I am not a fan of leading the journal. Well, that might change, because I equipped myself in DA subscription. Yes, I updated this profile, and I made other changes too. Nearly all gallery right now is filled with FRAMED pictures, and variety of prints. But that's not the end of my work. I added new descriptions and I am going to continue doing that, to fill everyone with information about the places. Probably most of them will contain information from wikipedia, but that might be more helpful that my estimated guess.
In order to tidy up, I decided to feature some of my works in jurnal and put them in groups. That will be 'decorated' by information about places/events too.
First 'story' is just below. Enjoy!
***
Somewhere between Central and Eastern Europe, there are mountains, that are the largest mountain range in the area. They are called Carpathian Mountains and happen to stand between Slovakia and Poland, going further to Ukraine and Romania, forming an arc of around 1500 km (932 mi). Focusing on Polish and Slovakian border, I would like to introduce Tatra Mountains the highest range within Carpathians, where the highest peaks exceed 2,600 m in elevation.
The highest mountain is Gerlach (2,655 m) which lies on Slovakian border, and Rysy (2,499 m) are the highest point of Poland.
Question is what is so special about them? Well, in comparesment to Alps, Tatras are small, but they have Alpine climate and look. That makes them really unique.
They are more than unique for me, because I was lucky to reach some interesting tops when I was 10 and 11 years old. Świnica was one of them (2,301 m AMSL) the peak is considered third highest point in Poland and second highest point that poeple can reach by path. Discovering more and more of this place this is where the passion started. And pictures of that place youcan see below all from my gallery and all grouped. Enjoy.
